Hirano, Junpei (Teikyo University): Decrease of snowfall frequency in western Japan during the mid 19th century and their relation with circulation changes.
Li, Bei-bei (Nanjing University of Information & Technology): Study on the flood disaster and the countermeasures of the lower Yangtze River during Jiaqing and Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty.
Hasegawa, Naoko (Ochanomizu University): Long-term changes in the freezing dates of Lake Suwa (1444-present) and Lake Juhsan (1705-1860).
Masuda, Kooiti (Tokyo Metropolitan University): Fluctuations of global solar radiation in Japan from 1821 to 1850 including the severe Tempo famine as estimated from historical weather records.
